Learn the beautiful craft of traditional stained glass leadlight construction through this informative and hands on two day weekend workshop.
About the course
In this course Clare will guide you through the traditional method and craft of leadlight panel construction. Topics covered include glass cutting, leading, soldering and puttying techniques as well as health and safety principles of working with glass. You will select your piece from a selection of A4 designs provided, and by the end of the course you will take home a small completed stained glass panel. Clare focuses on teaching proficient skills and techniques, which form a solid foundation for future projects. The groups are small in number, of no more than 8 students. Clare also has a technical assistant throughout the weekend – ensuring plenty of personal attention.
What do I need to bring?
- Lunch for the day (fridge is available). Tea and coffee provided.
- Please wear closed in shoes (safety requirement for entry into the workshop)
- Wear comfortable suitable clothes for working and apron if desired.
- Notebook for taking notes if desired – printed notes are also given during course
Payment Details
To secure a position in a course a $100 deposit is required using the form below. The balance is strictly due three weeks prior to commencement of course.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by the student:
- Cancellation more than three weeks prior to the course will be refunded less a $25 administration fee.
- Cancellations within three weeks of the course will result in a loss of deposit.
- Cancellation within 7 days of the course will not be provided with a refund unless the position can be filled by another student in which case just the loss of deposit will occur. When cancellation occurs within 7 days of the course we cannot provide a credit or transfer. However, you are extremely welcome to send someone else in your place, or as above I will try and fill the position in which case just the deposit is forfeited.
Cancellation by the workshop:
- All workshops have a minimum enrolment required for the workshop to run and in the unlikely and regrettable situation a workshop needs to be rescheduled or cancelled the deposit will be fully refunded. Students may also elect to transfer the deposit to another course.
